saved

• 1.7 million hours of sitting in traffic

With Link’s first anniversary coming this weekend, Sound Transit has put up these posters at stations.

I hope Metro does stuff like this for RapidRide.

With the ORCA card, and its ability to track (approximately) how many miles a person rides a bus, they could implement a system like Propel Biodiesel’s "CleanDrive", which shows their customers how much CO2 they’ve displaced with a certain credit card number. I also find the design of that poster odd. If a person is looking at it from far away, all they will see is "saved". It is probably intentional, though.
