
Ryan Lingard designed and built this lovely litte cabin near Joseph, Oregon in a couple of weeks for under $10,000.

George Bernard Shaw's writing shed was incredibly sophisticated. It was built on a turntable so that he could push it around to follow the sun. It had electricity, telephone and a buzzer system.

The challenge in the "1, 2, 3... easy kitchen!" competition shown in Designboom was to design a kitchen that occupied less than 1 square meter (about 10 square feet).

Real estate developers often trick purchasers by filling model suites with special 7/8 full size furniture to make rooms look bigger. Now Point Supreme Architects are tricking art gallery patrons by building a room at exactly 1/2 full size, and putting it inside the full size room.

Sabine at Mocoloco shows an interesting bookcase system designed by Daniel Gafner of Postfossil. It is essentially made of plywood boxes held together by standard binder clips, which is clever enough.
