That’s a great shot in the front. I agree that they should be farther from homes. But home wind turbines don’t make noise like this and don’t cast shadows so far. Home wind and solar electric systems don’t cause all the problems that these large turbines do. Besides, what economic benefit is it to buy your wind and solar power from a utility. There are great systems for home use. We have installed these systems all over the US, Canada and Europe. Home Wind/Solar is here now.

if we put the necessary amounts of renewables into place we don’t need to sacrifice any comforts. But saving energy is always a good thing…if people don’t want to save money – well, that’s their own choice…but the environment doesn’t wait for us so governments have to actively support improving efficiency…the “market” doesn’t do this
sure, but populations in the western world are not growing by much and mostly even decreasing. Germany and most of Europe will loose 10% of its population in the next 20 years due to demographic change. So that’s not a reliable source if growth for corporations. They depend on maintaining monopolies and that’s best done with central power plants instead of a decentralized grid with thousands of wind mills, solar plants, biomass etc.
The profit curves of the largest corporations are maintained not by just selling you things, but by growth. And the only way they can keep growing is for the population to keep growing. If they can get you to use 1/2 as much power, water, LAND, etc, they can put twice as many people in the same space. They don’t want you to live on 5 acres and drive a big SUV on spacious roads. They want you to be China. Small apartment, low resource consumption, but work hard & pay lots of taxes.

We all have to learn to save energy and stop wasting so much nature gives us. Especially the US!!
That is exactly what corporations DON’T want because they earn money with people who use and buy more than they need.
Saving energy is a waste of time. It only serves the goals of the multi-national corporations.
Cat equipment with solar they must have huge windfall profits from the world infrastucture boom, kiboto. only come out in summer again.
The U.S. has to invest more in battery technology. Course it also has to move forward in cleaning up the clean room in silicon chip manufacturing. Gee I think the electric markets growing how bout solar panels on John Deere equipment that only comes out in the summer.
You have no idea… i came to the states 4 months ago last time i was here was 8 years ago…ive been living in third world countries —-outrageous that a country can use up 25 % of the world coal n oil supply…and what about natural GAS! USA IS A MESS….

Why save energy? We get harrangued by the media about saving energy, while Obama taks three jets and a limo to go to dinner and Robo-Eco-Gore and Edwards live in houses that burn more electricity than a medium sized town.
I see no reason to sacrifice my comfort just so some left wing elitists can have more for themselves.
