Hire AL GORE to speak at your school… then note how far below the NORMAL TEMPERATURE it is… Then listen to him try to explain it away.

Next look at MARS… Notice that it’s going through a cycle of GLOBAL WARMING. Next notice that – THERE ARE NO HUMANS THERE.

NEXT…Look at the people who are conservationist… people concerned with GLOBAL WARMING – note that they have “much bigger ‘carbon footpring’ ” than any 6 other people.

Finally – look at what these people want you to do – about your carbon foot print… GIVE THEM MONEY.

Catch a clue.

Obama wants solar energy, and I guess most of the American people that voted last year for him as President.

…just reading the first answer has made me lose a few IQ points.

But anyway.. many governments of developed countries signed the Kyoto treaty which basically means that they have agreed to cut collective CO2 emissions by 5.2% compared to the year 1990 (this represents a larger amount of around 30% compared to expected emissions levels in 2010 if the treaty did not exist).

Over countries governments have signed, and made law ,other agreements like Britain’s promise to cut national co2 emissions by 80% by 2050.

Also, governments across the globe are investing in renewable energy sources – solar, wind, hydro etc.

The U.S. has begun to take very significant steps to mitigate global warming. Although these steps are indirect, they will go a longer way than a single year of a cap & trade or carbon tax program (something that is eventually needed).

Details:

http://climateprogress.org/2009/02/19/obamas-first-month-31-days-that-made-and-may-remake-history/#more-4916

So the U.S. is finally leading, after sporadic leadership in European nations on the issue, which will improve the chances of others following. Whether this is successful in the long run will depend on how quickly China adopts our innovations.
